Cookie Policy Details
Review each section for full details on how we use cookies and your rights.
Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Look Who's Outdoors LLC ('LWO,' 'we,' 'us,' or 'our'), a Texas limited liability company with registered offices at 110 N. Akard Street #1036, Dallas, TX 75201, uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Look Who's Outdoors website (https://lookwhosoutdoors.com) and mobile application (collectively, the 'Platform'). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which contains additional information about our data practices.
By using the Platform, you do not automatically consent to non-essential cookies. We obtain your express, opt-in consent to all non-essential cookies (functional, analytics, and marketing) through a cookie consent banner before placing or reading such cookies on your device. You may withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, through the cookie settings described in Section 6.
Where required by applicable state law (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, and other comprehensive privacy laws), we honor browser-based opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control ('GPC') as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites function more efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to website owners about how users interact with their sites.
Similar technologies include web beacons (also called pixel tags or clear GIFs), local storage objects (LSOs or HTML5 storage), session tokens, and device identifiers (including the Apple IDFA and Google Advertising ID on mobile devices). For simplicity, all such technologies are referred to as 'cookies' throughout this Policy. Where consent is required for cookies, the same consent requirement applies to all such functionally equivalent technologies.
Categories of Cookies We Use
1. Strictly Necessary
These cookies are essential for the Platform to function and cannot be disabled. They include session management cookies (keeping you logged in), security tokens (CSRF protection), and cookies that remember your cookie consent preferences. No consent is required for strictly necessary cookies.
2. Functional
These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalisation. They remember your preferences (such as language settings and location), your saved events, and other choices you make on the Platform. Without these cookies, some features may not work as expected. Functional cookies require your prior opt-in consent where required by applicable law.
3. Analytics
These cookies help us understand how users interact with the Platform by collecting aggregated, anonymised data about pages visited, features used, time spent, errors encountered, and navigation paths. We use tools including Google Analytics and/or Firebase Analytics for this purpose. Analytics cookies require your prior opt-in consent where required by applicable law. You may decline analytics cookies at any time without affecting Platform functionality.
4. Marketing
These cookies are used to deliver advertising that is relevant to your interests, to limit the frequency with which you see an advertisement, and to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. They may be set by us or by third-party advertising partners, including Meta (Facebook Pixel) and Google Ads. Marketing cookies require your prior opt-in consent and constitute 'sharing' of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California Civil Code § 1798.140(ah) and similar state laws. You may opt out at any time via the cookie banner, the Global Privacy Control, or the 'Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information' link in the Platform footer.
Specific Cookies and Third-Party Services
The following table lists the principal cookies and third-party services used on the Platform. This list may not be exhaustive, as third-party services occasionally update their cookie implementations.
| Provider | Category | Purpose | Data Shared | Policy Link |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Analytics | Tracks user behaviour; measures engagement | Aggregated usage data | analytics.google.com/terms |
| Firebase Analytics | Analytics | App usage analytics and performance | Aggregated app data | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Functional | Crash reporting and stability monitoring | Anonymised crash data | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Meta Pixel | Marketing | Ad targeting and conversion tracking | User behaviour data (with consent) | facebook.com/privacy/policies |
| Google Ads | Marketing | Ad targeting and retargeting | User behaviour data (with consent) | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Stripe | Strictly Necessary | Payment fraud detection and security | Payment session data | stripe.com/privacy |
The table above identifies categories of providers; the specific cookies, their first-party or third-party status, and their typical retention periods are set out in greater detail in our Cookie Preferences Center, accessible through the cookie settings link in the Platform footer.
Cookie Retention Periods (illustrative)
- Session cookies — expire at the end of your browser session
- Strictly necessary (e.g., consent record) — expire after twelve (12) months
- Functional cookies — expire after thirteen (13) months
- Analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics _ga) — expire after a maximum of twenty-four (24) months
- Marketing cookies — expire per third-party provider's default (typically up to thirteen (13) months for Meta and Google)
Mobile App Identifiers
The Look Who's Outdoors mobile application may collect and use device-level advertising identifiers:
iOS — Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA)
In accordance with Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, the App will request your permission before tracking your activity across third-party apps and websites. You may decline tracking, in which case the IDFA will not be used for advertising purposes.
Android — Google Advertising ID (GAID)
The Google Advertising ID (GAID) may be used for analytics and advertising, subject to your device-level advertising opt-out settings.
Managing Your Advertising Identifier
- iOS: Settings > Privacy > Tracking — to decline or manage ATT
- Android (all versions): Settings > Google > Ads — to opt out
- Android 12+: Settings > Privacy > Ads > Delete Advertising ID — to delete entirely
On iOS, declining ATT prevents the IDFA from being shared with third-party advertising networks. You may reset or limit the use of your advertising identifier through your device settings at any time.
How to Manage Your Cookie Preferences
You have several options for managing cookies:
Cookie Consent Banner
When you first visit the Platform, a cookie consent banner will allow you to accept all cookies, accept only strictly necessary cookies, or customise your preferences by category. You may update your preferences at any time by clicking the cookie settings link in the website footer.
Granular Consent
The cookie consent banner allows you to accept or reject each cookie category individually (strictly necessary, functional, analytics, marketing). Withdrawing your consent is as easy as granting it — click the cookie settings link in the Platform footer at any time.
Browser Settings
You may configure your browser to refuse or delete cookies. Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform. Instructions for managing cookies in common browsers are available at the browser provider's support pages.
Opt-Out of Analytics
You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Opt-Out of Advertising
- Digital Advertising Alliance: optout.aboutads.info
- Network Advertising Initiative: optout.networkadvertising.org
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in compliance with California Civil Code § 1798.135(b)(1) and Cal. Code Regs. tit. 11, § 7025. Information about enabling GPC in your browser is available at globalprivacycontrol.org. Honoring GPC is also required or recommended in Colorado, Connecticut, and other states.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
A clearly labeled link titled 'Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information' is provided in the footer of every page of the Platform. Selecting this link opts you out of all uses of cookies that constitute 'sale' or 'sharing' under applicable state laws. The link is also presented in conspicuous form on the Platform's homepage.
Mobile Device Settings
See Section 5 for instructions on managing mobile advertising identifiers on iOS and Android devices.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in applicable law. Material updates will be communicated via the cookie consent banner or, for registered users, via email or in-app notification. The 'Last Updated' date at the top of this Policy indicates the most recent revision.
