College Athlete with speed that wins Beyond out- of – Bounds
While most college athletes would spend their time doing auxiliary drills and running sprints to get faster, twenty-two-year-old Kendal Little of Killeen, Texas would spend hours at a time sharpening his skillset doing seat time to increase his speed.
Not a speed where he’d out run his opponent on the basketball court for a 2-point conversion on a loose ball. Nor a speed that would end a grueling full court lay-up drill in practice by finishing before the buzzer sounds. We’re talking about that kind of speed that will cross a finish line on a 1 /8 dragstrip in less than 8 secs, at speeds up to 130mph.
Kendal Little, a recent graduate and shining basketball player at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor with a love for competitive Drag Racing, doesn’t come a dime a dozen. More than just a hobby Kendal spent 2 months traveling from state to state competing in some of the country’s most top tiered races. He started with a full schedule with now just two races remaining, he seeks to stretch his win column just a bit more before the conclusion of race season mid-December.
What’s behind Kendal’s inspiration?
“My Dad easily,” Kendal Little.
Kendal comes from a lineage of proud Race-Car-Drivers. It’s in his pedigree. Beginning with his grandfather who had a love for drag racing then passing the passion on to his Kendal’s father, Kevin Little, whose success in racing for sport and competitively sparked an interest in his young son. Kendal
would make his first debut on the drag at 12 years old. He would go on to compete in over 1,000 races in his career while also balancing his love for basketball.
His most recent 1st place win at the Xtreme Race Track in the 5.80 Index gained him yet another Cash Prize Trophy Check and a slew of spectators aroused by the signature Black Panther themed 82’ Camaro that he would race for the night. The perfect stage to display the 82’ Camaro in front of dozens of excited fans including the guy that inspired it all, his Dad, Kevin Little. Xtreme Raceway Park is DFW’s premier drag racing facility located in Ferris, Tx.
When you talk about the competitive drag racer’s in Texas, don’t forget to mention rising young talent Kendal Little amongst the talks of elite racers.
Look Who’s Outdoors wishes you all the luck in your future endeavors! Vroom…Vroom!
